  • Developed two online (free) Courses (Coursera MOOCs) on Animal Behaviour and Welfare and The Truth about Cats and Dogs

  • Lead developer for numerous successful tertiary animal behaviour and animal welfare Postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in UK and NZ (including; Masters in applied animal behaviour and welfare, online Masters in Animal welfare, ethics and law; Masters in equine science; Masters in clinical animal behaviour).

  • Production of online professional development learning modules for the animal welfare industry (eg. sponsored by International Fund for Animal Welfare)

  • Development of resources for an animal welfare assessment APP – for use by animal welfare organisations to assess welfare in the field (work sponsored by the Dogs Trust).

 

Conference/Workshop Development and Organisation

 

  • Developed and co-organised (with the Chinese Veterinary Medicine Association) the first and follow three Chinese Veterinary Conference – Animal Welfare Science sessions (Suzhou, Guilin, Qingdao and Fuzhou)

  • Co-organised (with HK City University) International Animal Welfare conference for Govt and Industry to launch new animal welfare centre

  • Developed and Co-Organised a 5 day Veterinary Advances/Rabies Control and Animal Welfare conference with the Commonwealth Veterinary Association in Bangalore, India

  • Developed and Co-Organised a 2 day Conference on Production Animal Health and Welfare with the Indian Council for Agriculture (Delhi) (opened by the UoE VP International) 2015

  • Developed and Co-Organised a 2 day symposium on Translational Veterinary Medicine with the HK Government in Hong Kong

  • Developed and Co-organised a two day ‘Dogs and Society’ conference in

Strategy and Policy Development

  • Developed innovative Strategic and Operational Plans for two new animal welfare Centres (Jeanne Marchig International Animal Welfare Edinburgh and A Good Life for Animals Centre (New Zealand).

  • Lead author for Eurogroup for Animal Welfare's White Paper - Good Welfare for Horses.

  • Chair and Lead for FEI Equine Ethics and Wellbeing Commission's Stakeholder situation mapping, strategic welfare approach, FEI charter and final recommendations.

  • Developed the Te Pukenga Strategic Research Framework for ITP sector in NZ

  • Developed the Code of Ethical Conduct for Use of animals in teaching, research for ITP sector in NZ

  • Chair the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee - Providing recommendations to Government related to animal use in research, testing and teaching

  • Advisor as a member of NAWAC related to the NZ Animal Welfare Act 1999's Animal Welfare Codes development.
